“Hedonismus: Austern, Angst und Widerstand” (engl. “Hedonism: Oysters, Fear and Resistance) s a 96-page essay book about the politics of all things pleasure. It began with an image I couldn’t stop thinking about: oysters on crushed ice, glowing under perfect light and posted on everyone’s instagram story. A symbol of excess, desire and somewhat a promise. This books moves through pleasure as something fragile, political, and very human. Somewhere between fear, escape and responsibility, it asks what it means to seek pleasure in a world shaped by crisis. Through drawings and fragmented essays, I approach hedonism not as loud indulgence, but as something quieter: a question of freedom, of access and of survival.
